Five Homes Selected For Rebuilding Day

Mountain  Communities – On April 27 — Rebuilding Day — five homes will get makeovers!

Rebuilding Together Mountain Communities has selected the five homes — Crestline (2), Arrowbear (1), Valley of Enchantment (1) and Twin Peaks (1) — and is looking for house sponsors and monetary contributions to purchase supplies and materials for making repairs to the selected homes.

Last year’s house sponsors were California Bank & Trust, Union Bank, Ancon Marine, Stater Bros., Mountain Sunrise Rotary, Lake Arrowhead Hobie Fleet 434, Lake Arrowhead Community Presbyterian Church and Lake Arrowhead Rotary.

Their $1,500 sponsorships allowed hundreds of volunteers to apply paint, make roof repairs, clean yards, build rails and decks and complete other repairs requested by the homeowners.

Even though most of Rebuilding Day’s labor is volunteer and much of the material is donated by local companies, the chapter requires a minimum amount of cash on hand before embarking on any new project. The home sponsorships make sure the necessary repairs can be completed.
