Cabin Destroyed By Fire

Big Bear City, CA – One cabin was destroyed by fire just before 11:30 a.m. in Big Bear City.

Firefighters received the call at 11:37 a.m. and upon arrival in the 700 block of West Country Club Boulevard found the structure fully engulfed. Units knocked down the exterior fire at 11:46 a.m. and began working on venting and control of the interior fire in the attic and original structure. A second cabin sustain fire damage also.

At 12:39 p.m., firefighters summoned Southwest Gas to the scene of the fire and at 12:46 p.m. asked for a building and safety representative to also respond to the incident.

Smoke from the fire was visible in many parts of Big Bear Valley and dispatchers had to handle numerous calls related to the fire.
