Crestline, CA – Leslie Dodge-Taylor’s resignation from the Crest Forest MAC has created a vacancy.
Dodge-Taylor, who was recently named chair of the Crest Forest Fire Protection District, succeeding Punch Ringhofer, explained to Second District Supervisor Janice Rutherford that her new responsibilities on the fire board would prevent her from continuing her service on the Crestline Municipal Advisory Committee (MAC).
Rutherford is now accepting applications for the vacancy from community members to fill the post, according to field representative Lewis Murray.
Murry told the Crestline CONNECT networking group that the basic requirement is that MAC members be registered voters and be full-time residents of the Crestline Communities.
“MAC members area vital link between my office and the mountain communities I represent,” Rutherford stated in a prepared news release. “They are the ‘eyes and ears’ when it comes to fully understanding the priorities and concerns of residents.”
Current members of the Crest Forest MAC are Mike Pate, Derek Leistra, Connie Bracher and Bob Yeomans.
The Crest Forest MAC meets the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. The meetings take place at the Crestline Sanitation District headquarters, located at 24516 Lake Drive in Crestline.
HOW TO APPLY
Individuals interested in applying for the MAC vacancy should call Rutherford’s office at (909) 387-4833 for an application, or visit CLERK OF THE BOARD online to access a downloadable application.
