Vacant Commercial Building Damaged By Fire

Crestline, CA – A vacant commercial structure was damaged by fire late Friday night.

Crest Forest Fire personnel and equipment responded to the 24000 block of Crest Forest Drive at 11:45 p.m. Friday, according to a media advisory issued by the department.

The fire — which caused an estimated $3,000 damage — was contained to the structure of origin in about 15 minutes. The incident ended about two hours after the call was received.


Crest Forest Fire personnel report the commercial structure was vacant at the time of the incident but was in the process of being renovated.

The fire, according to the media release, originated in the area of a wall heating unit.

A total of nine personnel worked the fire and there were no civilian or firefighter injuries reported during the incident.
