UPDATE – Friday, February 8 – 2 p.m.

Mountain Communities – The Pasadena Youth Symphony Orchestra has cancelled its two free concerts this weekend.

In fact, the PYSO has also cancelled its annual retreat planned for Big Bear Lake due to concerns for the safety of the orchestra students. The concerts had been planned for Big Bear Lake on February 9 and in Lake Arrowhead February 10.

A memo sent to the two sponsoring organizations — The Arts Council of Big Bear Valley and Arrowhead Arts Association — indicates PYSO hopes to reschedule the trip at a later date “when we can travel to Big Bear safely, without fear or concern for our students.”
