Big Bear Lake, CA – Bells will ring once again on Monday, February 11, at all Bear Valley Unified schools.
A media advisory issued by Superintendent Kurt Madden indicates law enforcement personnel will be on each campus as classes resume on a regular schedule. The district was on a voluntary lock-down on Thursday, February 7, due to the manhunt for alleged murderer Christopher Dorner.
The district cancelled classes Friday, February 8, due to the manhunt and approaching storm system that dropped well over a foot of snow of Big Bear Valley.

Friday was a Snow Day for students in the Rim of the World Unified School District.
Monday, February 11, is a no school day in celebration of Abraham Lincoln’s birthday.
