Big Bear Lake, CA – The 16th Annual Southwest Gas Winter Coat Drive is now underway. Last year, about 700 coats and sweatshirts were distributed in Bear Valley.
The utility’s employee volunteer team, BLUE (Building Lives Up Everywhere), is once again collecting new and gently used coats for free distribution to children, adults and families throughout the communities in Bear Valley.
The deadline for contributing items is Wednesday, October 16.
Drop-off points — during regular business hours — are as follows:
* Southwest Gas – 140 Business Center Drive – Big Bear Lake
* Alaska Federal Credit Union – 42171 North Big Bear Boulevard – Big Bear Lake
* Bear Valley Community Healthcare District – M.O.M. and Dad Project – 1221 East Big Bear Boulevard – Big Bear City
* VONS – 42170 Big Bear Boulevard – Big Bear Lake
The coats will be made available — free of charge — at the Southwest Gas Business Office, located at 140 Business Center Drive in Big Bear Lake, on Wednesday, November 6, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. (425)
