Pine Cone Festival Mascot Needs a Name

By Susan A. Neufeld

Mountain Communities – There’s a new squirrel on the mountain looking for a name. The Annual Pine Cone Festival just made friends with the newest squirrel on the mountain and a new partnership has begun. This squirrel loves our mountain communities and our visitor friends so much that now the Annual Pine Cone Festival has a new mascot, but we need a name!

Our new mascot has been around the mountain dancing, playing, and giving hugs, at Farmers Markets and other mountain events. Can you find our new mascot a name?

You can enter the contest and be a part of naming this friendly squirrel. Guidelines and entry forms are on the website at: http://www.pineconefestival.org or call 866-923-3473 to have forms sent to you. The winning name will be announced at this year’s Annual Pine Cone Festival, on October 14, 2017, at the Rim Nordic Ski Area across from Snow Valley Mountain Resort in Running Springs.

This family friendly arts, entertainment, and mountain safety event is free and there is plenty of parking. Special thanks to our major donors, First Mountain Bank, Rim Nordic Ski Area, Snow Valley Mountain Resort and Mountain Transit for making this treasured annual event possible.
