MEMORIAL FOR U.S. FOREST SERVICE FIREFIGHTER BRENT WITHAM August 10

San Bernardino, CA – A  Memorial Ceremony has been set for Brent Witham. The Ceremony will be Thursday August 10, 2017 at 10 a.m. The Memorial Ceremony will be at the National Orange Show, Orange Pavilion, Arrowhead entrance, San Bernardino, CA. Anyone that would like to attend is welcome. The doors will open at 9:00 a.m.

Brent was a member of the VistaGrand Hotshots team. He was lost in a Line Of Duty Death (LODD) August 2, 2017, while working on the Lolo Peak Fire in Montana. He was brought home Monday, August 7, with a processional from the Forest Service Airtanker Base to Montecito Memorial Park & Mortuary.

The tribute to Brent continues through the week; two large condolence “cards” will be made available at the San Bernardino National Forest Supervisor’s Office , located at 602 South Tippecanoe, San Bernardino, CA 92408. Beginning at noon on August 8, through the evening of August 9, people are encouraged to stop by and leave messages and/or condolences for the family. The cards will be given to Brent’s family as a keepsake and remembrance of Brent. Condolences for the family can also be mailed to the South Tippecanoe address.
