Lake Arrowhead, CA – The Mountain Homeless Coalition will host a program addressing the homeless population in the mountain communities on Sunday, January 8, entitled “The Homeless On the Mountain.”


“The Homeless on the Mountain” presentation — featuring Bev Rios from Hearts & Lives — takes place at noon at the Lake Arrowhead Community Presbyterian Church.

Rios will discuss the needs and issues with which the homeless community on the mountain must contend and share ways residents can help the homeless out of invisibility.


homeless-pitimeOne of the topics of discussion will be the Thursday, January 26, Point-In-Time Count (PITC) of homeless in the mountain communities.

The count is a countywide effort to promote government and private grant funding and other resources for mountain communities to help people exit life on the streets.

Volunteers are being recruited from every mountain community and from all walks of life to assist with the count.


The free session is open to the public and refreshments will be served.
