Mountain Communities – Rebuilding Together Mountain Communities presents its 23rd annual Christmas in April Rebuilding Day on Saturday, April 29, and is currently recruiting house captains, volunteer coordinators and skilled contractors/volunteers.
OVER 100 HOMES REFURBISHED SINCE 1994
Once again, hundreds of tradesmen and non-trade volunteers will give selflessly of their time and energy in repairing and refurbishing mountain homes and facilities. Since 1994, Rebuilding Together Mountain Communities has refurbished over 100 structures from Cedarpines Park to Green Valley Lake.
Each home is assigned a House Captain and a Volunteer Coordinator. These individuals oversee the crew of skilled craftsmen and volunteers who perform the needed repairs on the home. The Volunteer Coordinator also works to establish rapport with the homes’ and facilities’ owners.
In an official media release, Wayne Palmer, President of the Rebuilding Together board of directors expressed the need for people interested in contributing to their local community to become a part of this worthwhile program.
