SoCal GAS: Company Extends Natural Gas Advisory Until Further Notice

Mountain Communities – Residents of the mountain communities are once again being asked by the Southern California Gas Company to reduce the use of natural gas due to high demand caused by the cold weather system.

so-cal-gas-advisoryA SoCalGas Advisory has been issued requesting customers to immediately reduce their natural gas use to help lower the risk of possible natural gas and electricity shortages. The advisory will continue until further notice.


Mountain residents should immediately reduce their natural gas use by:

  • Lowering their thermostat to 68 degrees or below
  • Waiting a day to use natural gas appliances, and
  • Washing clothes in cold water when possible
