GAME OF SKATE: April 13 at Crestline Skatepark

By Susan A. Neufeld

Crestline, CA – A GAME OF SKATE will kick off this year with it’s first competition on Thursday April 13, 2017 at 4 p.m. at the Crestline Skatepark, (between the Crestline Library and Goodwin’s Market).

The GAME OF SKATE is a skateboarding competition using rules based upon the H.O.R.S.E. game played by basketball players. SKATE was first played in the 1970’s by vertical skateboarders Lance, Mountain, Neil Blender and John Lucero, and was then adapted by street skaters in the 1980’s.

Game of Skate is sponsored by: Rim Communities for Youth Coalition, Lake Gregory Recreation Company, Rim of the World Recreation and Parks District, the Pharmacy Boardshop and the Phoenix Club in Crestline.

The the is absolutely FREE!

Hot Dogs will be served during the event

Prizes are made possible by the Pharmacy Boardshop in Rancho Cucamonga.

The skatepark has been nicknamed “The Pharmacy” because of all the drug-related negative behaviors that occur often there.  We want to change that reputation and reclaim it as a safe place for our kids.

Come out on April 13th 4 p.m. Crestline Skatepark and join in the fun!
