“The Life of Mae West” at the Big Bear Lake Library

Big Bear Lake, CA -“Why don’t you come up some time, and see me?” – Could be the most famous line ever uttered by Mae West. You can almost do that, at a special event brought to you by the friends of the Big Bear Valley Library, Saturday, April 15, 2017 at 2 pm. Guest speaker Maya DeBois presents “The Life of Mae West”.

Many of us know the on-screen persona of Mae West, in the days of the silver screen. But West had a career that stretched from before that time to long afterwards. The entertaining story of West will be told about her vaudeville days through movies, radio and television.

The presenter, Maya DeBois, is a board member of the San Fernando Valley Historical Society, and a Mae West enthusiast.  Did you know that Mae West was a writer, in addition to being an actress? Learn more of the fascinating story with the telling of ” The Life of Mae West”
