Lake Arrowhead, CA – On Sunday July 9 from 3-5: p.m., Mountains Community Hospital Foundation will host over 300 guests in the hospital’s Rose Garden. This year’s theme is Off to the Races, so wear your most festive derby attire and compete in our best hat competition! Tickets are $80 per person. To purchase tickets or

Presenting Gloria Loring as Mistress of Ceremonies and celebrity auctioneer for the Le Grand Picnic – A Day at the Races


We are thrilled to announce that Gloria Loring, will be our featured Mistress of Ceremonies and auctioneer. One of our locals – she’s a writer, singer, performer and motivational speaker. Gloria is known for playing Liz Chandler on Days of our Lives. She also co-wrote and sang the Facts of Life theme song, arguably the best 80’s TV theme song of all time!



Additionally, each ticketed guest will be entered in a drawing for a gold coin valued at over $1,200! The Royal Canadian Mint released this beautiful gold coin to commemorate the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, British Columbia. The drawing will happen at the end of the event and you must be present to win.

The silent auction will feature beautifully decorated baskets with items for all ages and tastes. We even have a basket, complete with  all the ingredients to make Kentucky Derby-worthy mint julep! We’ll be giving you a sneak peek at our live auction items in a few weeks. We’ll also be holding a reverse auction to raise money for new cardiac monitors for our Acute Care wing.

It’s an afternoon of remarkable generosity within the community. Le Grand Picnic raises over $130,000 each year for patient-focused technology and services.
