Lake Arrowhead, CA – Mountains Community Hospital’s Le Grand Picnic — ” Off to the Races” — raised $156,000, according to numbers provided by Director of Community Development, Kimberly McGuire.
Of that amount, $103,500 was raised through a reverse auction for new Cardiac, Vital Signs and Telemetry Monitors.
The annual fund-raising event was held Sunday, July 9, in the Hospital Rose Garden.
Lake Arrowhead, CA – The 2017 Le Grand Picnic’s theme is “Off to the Races” and will be held Sunday, July 9, starting at 3 p.m. The Mountains Community Hospital’s (MCH) signature fund raising event will feature a variety of food from some of the top local restaurants, a silent auction, a live auction and a reverse auction for new hospital equipment.
The MCH Rose Garden, overlooking Lake Arrowhead, will be the setting — and over 300 people are expected to attend to enjoy race day on the mountain.
LIVE & SILENT AUCTIONS
Le Grand Picnic participants will find a wide variety of both live and silent auction items. The Mistress of Ceremonies, Gloria Loring, will be conducting the live auction. Items auctioned will include such winnings as an evening sail around gorgeous San Diego Bay, together with a two night stay in a condo on the beautiful Coronado Cays, a dinner for 8 — prepared and served by Chef Kathleen ( Lake Arrowhead Country Club), box seats at Del Mar Racetrack, together with tickets to Taste of the Turf Club and an overnight stay at the Marriott of Solano Beach, a year’s golf membership at the Lake Arrowhead Country Club, and so much more.
Terrific silent auction items will be available, all of which are beautifully wrapped — each with it’s own theme. There is a gardening basket, car detailing kit, dining for four at UCLA and a lovely picnic basket.
This year, there will be an opportunity drawing for a Royal Canadian gold coin from the 2010 Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver, B.C., worth over $1,200. Each ticket holder has a chance to win.
