Arrowhead Arts Association Summer Music Festival

By Susan A. Neufeld

Lake Arrowhead, CA – Arrowhead Arts has two concerts scheduled at the Arrowhead Lake Association’s  Tavern Bay Beach Club this summer, and the concerts begin at 6:00 p.m.

The first concert will be Thursday, July 20, featuring Pete Jacobs and His Wartime Review.

Jacobs will again feature 13 musicians and three singers on the shore of Lake Arrowhead. Interspersing the hits of the 30’s and 40’s, along with late breaking news-stories from the war-years, as well as several original songs and even some 1940 style radio commercials. Listening to the Wartime Radio Review is like taking a time-machine back to the World War II U.S.O. show.

The second concert will be July 27 — and will feature Nancy Walker singing the music of Patsy Cline. Walker became interested in Cline’s music while singing tributes at the annual Concert on the Green at the Inn at Fawnskin.  She not only shares her music but her life and history.

Adult  tickets are $20 each and all students K-12 are admitted free of charge.

For ticket and table reservations call (909) 337-4296.

Gates open at 5 p.m. and both concerts start at 6 p.m.

Picnic dinners are welcome — but no pets are allowed at the Tavern Bay Beach Club — which is located at 28399 East North Shore Road in Lake Arrowhead.
