Lake Arrowhead, CA – The Celebrity & History Cruise, aboard the Arrowhead Queen, will sail around the roughly 14 miles of shoreline on Lake Arrowhead, on July 22 and August 19, offering narration by Russ Keller and Ralph Wagner.
The tours begin at 5 p.m. — both Sundays — from the dock at Lake Arrowhead Village.
The narrators will provide information about celebrities (past and present) who live — or lived — in Lake Arrowhead, where the various Magnificent Mountain Movies were filmed, an explanation about the blue tower that stands 43-feet above the water level and the history of Papoose Lake.
They’re also likely to tell how the Arrowhead Queen was bought in the 1960’s, in Iowa, and transported to Lake Arrowhead.
The 67-foot paddle-boat was trucked up the mountain at 3 a.m. one morning and has been one of the lake’s attractions ever since.
Tickets to the tour are $29 each and include snacks and champagne.
