The Big Bear Sheriff’s Station, in partnership with the Big Bear Fire Department, is bringing National Night Out to Big Bear Valley on Tuesday, August 1, 2017.
Bear Valley residents are invited to come out to the Big Bear Sheriff’s Station, located at 477 Summit Blvd. in Big Bear Lake, between the hours of 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., for an Open House.
This is a free, family-oriented event to raise awareness about crime prevention and personal/household safety. Police and fire equipment will be on display and there will be activities, giveaways, grilled hot dogs, cold beverages, and more — for all who attend.
LifeStream will also be on hand for a Guns and Hoses Blood Drive and Marrow Screening, with free tee shirts for all donors.
National Night Out is an annual campaign, organized through the National Association of Town Watch, that promotes community partnerships and camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer and more caring places to live.
Together we are making this happen. In recognition of National Night Out, residents throughout Big Bear Valley — and across the nation — are asked to lock their doors, turn on their porch lights, and spend the evening of August 1st outside with neighbors and law enforcement. National Night Out is a night to stand together and promote awareness, safety and neighborhood unity, through community partnerships and citizen involvement.
Mark your calendars and we’ll see you there!
