Crestline, CA – The 38th Annual Run Through the Pines — hosted by the Rim of the World Recreation and Park District — will be staged in and around Lake Gregory on Saturday, August 12th. Check in is at the Lake Gregory Education Center, 24740 San Moritz Way, Crestline CA.

You can still register for the race at http://racewire.com or you can register at check in on the day of the race.

This year’s line-up features a 5K, 10K and Kids Fun Runs. The event features water stations, chip timing and computerized race results, distinctive event t-shirts with custom designs, post-race refreshments and entertainment.


Run Through the Pines sponsors are: Goodwin’s and Son’s MarketRim of the World Recreation & Park District, Snow Valley Mountain Resort, SkyPark at Santa’s Village, Nature’s Bakery, Kristina Jennings of Caldwell Banker Sky Ridge Realty, The Alpenhorn News, Mountain Sunrise Rotary, Lake Arrowhead Noon Rotary, Scott Markovich, Rim Special Athletes, Arrowhead Fitness, MVP Athletics, Soroptomist, Mountain Counseling and Training, Mountain 2 Beach Bike Ride and Arrowhead Credit Union.


Volunteers are still needed for the race. If you would like to volunteer the following positions are open:  Registration and Race Kit Pickup, Water Station Volunteers, Start Line Volunteers, Finish Line Volunteers and Route Cheerleaders.

Last year there were over 400 runners that came to Crestline for the race. This year they are expecting over 500 runners.

In the past the run has been an international affair, with a runners from, Maine, Illinois, Utah, and some from as far away as Kobe, Japan.
