Blue Jay, CA – The Eighth Annual Lake Arrowhead Brewfest will celebrate craft beverages from around California — and beyond — and will feature local live music, food, and other vendors. It takes place on Saturday, August 12th, from noon to 5 p.m., in the Blue Jay Parking Lot, 27264 Highway 189 in Blue Jay.
The Lake Arrowhead Communities Chamber of Commerce and the Mountain Brew Club are staging the Eighth Annual Lake Arrowhead Brewfest. Proceeds will help the Camber promote local business and tourism.
The event will feature over 100 craft beers from many of the area’s leading microbreweries, well-known lager boutique breweries, and clubs.
CELEBRITY GUEST BREWER
This year our Celebrity Guest Brewer is Andy Divoff better known as “Djinn”, from the first two Wishmaster films, and you’ve seen him in Another 48 Hours, The Hunt for Red October, Air Force One, other movies and TV shows, but the Lake Arrowhead resident will be playing himself, pouring his own craft beer — Djinn’s Hellabrew. Come meet Andy as he helps raise money for scholarships for Rim of the World High school students.
The breweries that will be participating are: Hanger 24, Ballast Point Brewing Company, Belching Beaver Co, Brew Rebellion, Desert Barn Brewery, Firestone Walker Brewing Company, Karl Strauss Brewing Company, Mother Earth Brew Company, Ritual Brewing Company, Ska Brewing Company, and Strand Brewing Company.
New to the line-up this year is Sycamore Ranch Winery, featuring locally produced ciders.
Djinn’s HellaBrew – Andy Divoff, Celebrity Guest Brewer, Wicks Brewing Company.
Brewluminati, High Desert Homebrewers Anonymous, Horse Thief Brewers Association, Maltose Falcons, and Mountain Brew Club.
This year, the entertainment will be provided by the 80’s cover band Re-Wind. This group of 6 surpasses all, with not only superior musicality but with a wonderful stage show, putting them at a cross between “The Rocky Horror Picture Show and I Love Lucy”.
Food purveyors will be Lake Arrowhead Sports Grille and Jensen’s.
Tickets for the Lake Arrowhead Brewfest are:
$40 at the door
Designated Driver tickets are $15 (includes entry, glass and free soft drinks)
The cost includes: Admission, unlimited tasters and a souvenir glass, while supplies last.
Whether you’re a beer beginner or a beer aficionado “The Lake Arrowhead Brewfest is a great way to try new beers, talk to the brewers, and enjoy being outside in the San Bernardino Mountains,” said Nolan Calkins, event coordinator.
