Fawnskin, CA – On Saturday, August 19, 2017, at the Big Bear Discovery Center Amphitheater, the Music in the Mountains presents James Garner’s Tribute to Johnny Cash; with special guest, hot new country sensation Shari Rowe.
“We’re changing the pace and going classic country, featuring the music of Johnny Cash with new country national artist, Shari Rowe opening the show.” shared Stacy Gorin, Southern California Mountain Executive Officer. “Their music has wide appeal to many musical tastes and generations. It will be good family fun for a night of fundraising under the stars”
James Garner’s Tribute to Johnny Cash celebrates the life and music of the Man in Black with strong conviction and stunning accuracy. Garner and his band faithfully recreate Cash’s biggest hits, such as ‘Folsom Prison Blues’, ‘I Walk the Line’ and ‘Ring of Fire’, and incorporate historical accounts and personal anecdotes about America’s most beloved singing storyteller in this not-to-be missed musical event. The show re-lives and honors Johnny Cash’s life and music with the sound of his signature backing band Tennessee Three.
