Running Springs, CA – Thanks to Senator Mike Morrell’s Senate Resolution 40, September 23rd is designated as First Responder Day in California.
To kick it off in style, Mountain Rim Fire Safe Council and Inland Empire Fire Safe Alliance are holding an Inaugural First Responder Day event at Snow Valley Mountain Resort ( Hwy 18, 5 miles east of Running Springs) on Saturday, September 23, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.. Thanks to Kevin Somes, General Manager of Snow Valley, for making this possible.
Senator Morrell will be there to launch this day of recognition. We have invited all agencies; fire, law enforcement, paramedics, volunteers, etc, who are among those “who run in when everyone else is running out.”
There will be fire engines, cool enforcement vehicles, and Smokey Bear and Sparky will be among many fun things to see. The main goal of the day is for the public to have this specific day to say thanks for all our First Responders do, every day, to protect and serve our communities.
Please save the date and make time – even if it is just a few minutes – come by and show your appreciation and please spread the word.
Let us show these brave men and women just how much we appreciate them on the mountain.
