Mountain Communities – The CHP will be conducting a sobriety/drivers license checkpoint on Saturday, September 2, in the unincorporated mountain area of San Bernardino County.
CHECKPOINTS PROVEN EFFECTIVE
“A sobriety checkpoint is a proven effective tool for achieving this goal and is designated to augment existing patrol operations,” CHP Officer Juan Quintero stated in a media advisory.
Drivers who are under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs can expect to be arrested, Quintero emphasized in his media advisory.
“Our objective is to send a clear message to those considering mixing alcohol and/or drugs with driving,” Quintero explained.
