Bear Valley, CA – Bear Valley Search & Rescue is having a fundraiser at Village Pizza, located at 40568 Village Drive, Big Bear Lake, on Wednesday, September 20, from 4 – 8 p.m.
The All-You-Can-Eat Pepperoni Pizza is $7 per person. Tickets will be available at the door, or from any Bear Valley Search & Rescue Member.
The primary purpose of this team is to aid the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department in times of emergency. Our mission is to be the best professional rescue team, through dedication, commitment an training.
Bear Valley Search & Rescue is a non-profit volunteer organization, which is directed through the San Bernardino County Sheriff Department.
Bear Valley Search & Rescue provides their services to the entire county, rendering emergency aid to all, 24 hours a day, whenever needed.
The Team is comprised of 26 dedicated men and women, who quickly respond to distress calls. Rescue missions are usually in the San Bernardino Mountain wilderness, at any time of day or night, in any kind of weather, to search for lost hikers, skiers, stranded travelers or downed aircraft.
The team focuses on protecting Big Bear Lake, Big Bear City, Fawnskin and the other communities that make up the Big Bear Valley area, they also assist in all areas of San Bernardino County. They have assisted in missions in other counties, including San Diego, Riverside, Inyo and Kern as well.
Bear Valley Search & Rescue relies on donations to acquire equipment; such as snowmobiles, quads, GPS’s, litters, and ELT’s for locating downed aircraft. The Pizza Night Fund Raiser will help with these expenses, and who doesn’t like pizza?
