UPDATE 1 – Breaking News: The Pine Cone Festival is featured as one of the “5 Worth the Drive” events for October, in AAA’s latest edition of Westways Magazine: Whoopee!
NEW THIS YEAR
The 11th Annual Pine Cone Festival will feature a new two mile Nature Walk through the beautiful forest surrounding Rim Nordic, take the walk and earn a beautiful Pine Cone festival lapel pin for free. You will start at the Rim Nordic booth at the front by the office building. This is a self-guided walk that is clearly marked so you will not get lost. This lovely two-mile nature walk takes you along on of Rim Nordic’s ski and bike trails. It is one mile to the stamp station and then you return back the same way. You will see various natural elements of our forest, labeled with information, to give you a taste of what the San Bernardino National Forest is all about (and maybe even more wildlife!). One of our Festival staff will be stationed at the half-way ont to stamp your card and answer any questions you may have. When you return to the starting point booth show your stamped card and you will receive a beautiful Pine Cone Festival lapel pin as a souvenir of your walk through the woods. We are really excited about this new festival activity and hope you will decide to take a stroll through our beautiful forest.”
