Blue Jay, CA – Lake Arrowhead Community Services District, in conjunction with LifeStream, will host a blood drive and bone marrow screening on Thursday, October 26, 2017, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at 27307 State Hwy 189, Blue Jay, CA.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO DONATE BLOOD?
Individuals who are at least 15 years of age can donate blood. All prospective donors must be free of infections or illness, weigh at least 110 pounds, and not be at risk for AIDS or hepatitis.
Donors are encouraged to drink plenty of fluids prior to the donation process and to bring a photo identification.
PARENTAL CONSENT NECESSARY FOR THOSE 15-16 YEARS
Those between the ages of 15-16 must provide written parental consent. Parental consent forms are available at any donor center, community blood drive, or on line at http://www.LStream.org
RECEIVE DONOR POINTS FOR ONLINE PURCHASES
Donors receive free cholesterol screening and Gift of Life Donor Loyalty points, which may be redeemed in the online donor store at http://www.LStream.org.
Those aged 18-44 may register for Be The Match bone marrow screening at all donor locations, free of charge.
Donating blood takes only an hour, yet gives someone the possibility of enjoying years of life.
