Mountain Communities – The National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a wind and Red Flag warning for the San Bernardino Mountains and Inland Empire. The Red Flag Warning is for Saturday, October 21, at 10:00 a.m. through Tuesday, October 24, at 6:00 p.m., due to strong gusty winds and low humidity.
ONE LESS SPARK ONE LESS FIRE
Remember, One less spark, one less fire!
Mountain residents and visitors are encouraged to not drive a hot vehicle over dry grass, not to burn vegetation, not to mow grass during the Santa Ana wind conditions, extinguish campfires completely and only use gas powered equipment with a spark arresters.
Several fire agencies — including CalFire San Bernardino Unit — have increased staffing during the current conditions.
REMEMBER IF YOU SEE SOMETHING SAY SOMETHING!
