Twin Peaks, CA – On Saturday November 11, veterans and their families will be served a special meal by Girl Scout Troops 768 and 83, Goodwin’s Market and Thrivent Financial.
The free dinner — slated to be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., at the Twin Peaks Senior/Community Center in Twin Peaks — is open to all local veterans and their families.
The Third Annual Veterans Day Dinner will honor veterans and their families, and will say thank you for their sacrifice and service in defense of the United States of America.
The dinner is part of the Girl Scouts’ “Sow What” journey, where they get down to the roots of the food network to see how complex and how global food and land issues can be. The meal includes the use of healthy ingredients, including whole grain pasta.
The Twin Peaks Senior/Community center is located at 675 Grandview Rd, Twin Peaks, CA 92391.
