Lake Arrowhead, CA – Adrianna Marie & her Groovecutters wowed the crowd at the Blue Jay Jazz Festival, and they return this weekend at the Tudor House.
This Friday, November 17, they bring with them what has been called some of the best jump blues fare today.
The Lake Arrowhead resident will once again be joined on stage by her husband, noted blues guitarist LA Jones.
Adrianna Marie has said that “the blues is really more of a feeling expressed through music. BB King said, “As long as people have problems, the blues can never die.
“Well, to me, that’s what the blues are – an expression of all our feelings and life struggles through music. It’s cathartic – it’s something a musician HAS to do. It is part of their processing of their feelings and not keeping it all bottled up inside.”
On Saturday, November 18, Robot Teammate and the Accidental Party – hot off the stage in New York City- will bring their award-winning sci-fi musical comedy to the Tudor House.
Turbulence won Best Musical, Best World Premiere, Critic’ Choice, and Outstanding Songwriting awards at the 2017 Hollywood Fringe Festival. Their performance there earned the troupe an invitation to perform in New York.
In the musical – centered on the Intergalympics of 4242 rival planets, Earth and Mars must compete in a high-speed, high stakes race through space. Can resource-strapped Team Earth survive again, against all odds?
This family-friendly show is recommended for ages 10 and up. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with the show at 7:00 p.m.
On Sunday, November 19, Robot Teammate will be back for a 3:00 p.m. show, featuring their awe-inspiring improv. If you’ve seen the team in action before, you know what to expect. If you haven’t, you’re in for a real treat.
