Mountain Communities – On Thursday, January 25 mountain homeless coalition, in conjunction with the San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health, will perform a survey and count of our neighbors experiencing homelessness.
Starting at St. Richard’s Episcopalian Church, located at 28708 Hwy 118, Skyforest, at 6:00 a.m., teams will go out to the streets, in the woods and at local churches and provider locations until done, or 11:00 a.m.
Volunteers and Team Leaders are still needed to do a good job. Team leaders need training, that is provided by the county on the following dates and locations:
Rancho Cucamonga 12 p.m. 10500 Civic Center Drive
Rialto 3 p.m. 128 N. Willow Ave
San Bernardino 6 p.m. 303 E. Vanderbilt Way
SB TAY 1 p.m. 700 E. Gilbert St.
Victor Valley 6 p.m. 15010 Palmdale Rd. – Victorville
Barstow 4 p.m. 220 E. Buena Vista
Training is not mandatory, however it is recommended. There has to be at last one trained person on each team.
Remember this work has a fiscal benefit to the mountain community so please consider getting involved.
