Big Bear Lake, CA – Beginning Monday, April 2, 2018, the City of Big Bear Lake’s Public Works Department will be conducting maintenance on the City’s sewer system all along Big Bear Boulevard. This maintenance is performed twice annually, this preventative measure aims to avoid blockage and build-up caused by grease and other oils threatening the sewer’s infrastructure.
Public Works will implement a partial lane closure between Stanfield Cutoff and Lakewood Lane. Although weather and the extent of required maintenance are factors in the duration of this project, we estimate that this partial closure will continue through Friday, April 13, 2018.
Maintenance work is scheduled to take place between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
They ask for the community to be patience during this time of imperative upkeep, and would like to advise motorists to consider alternative routes, to allow extra time for traveling, and to always “Slow for the Cone Zone”.
